Stadium Talk Top 25 High School Football Rankings: Week 11
The final weeks of the regular season came to a close with a few upsets in the latest Stadium Talk Top 25 High School Football Rankings. Several teams also opened the postseason in their respective states with wins.
Two teams fell out of the poll for the first time this season after upset losses, with No. 9 Chandler High School (Chandler, Arizona) dropping out after a 14-7 loss to Basha High School (Chandler, Arizona) and No. 20 Cherry Creek High School (Greenwood Village, Colorado) out of the rankings after a 24-21 loss to Grandview High School (Aurora, Colorado).
Mater Dei High School (Santa Ana, California) remained at No. 1 in the poll for the 10th consecutive week after closing out the season with a blowout win over Servite High School (Anaheim, California). Chaminade-Madonna High School (Hollywood, Florida) entered the top 10 for the first time this season.
American Heritage High School (Plantation, Florida) returned to the rankings at No. 23 and No. 25 Lehi High School (Lehi, Utah) entered the poll for the first time this season.
Twelve different states are represented in this poll, led by Texas and Florida with five teams each and California with four teams.

25. Lehi High School (Lehi, Utah)

Record: 11-0
Last game: Defeated Park City 40-6
Next game: Nov. 4 at Box Elder (9-3)
Bottom line: Lehi makes its debut in the Stadium Talk Top 25 High School Football Rankings following a 40-6 win over Park City in the second round of the Class 5A state playoffs. Lehi, which had a bye in the first round, is trying to win its second consecutive state championship and third state title in six seasons.
Lehi senior quarterback and Colorado State commit Jackson Brousseau was 23-of-35 passing for 319 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions in the win over Park City for his first 300-yard passing game since the season opener against Davis on Aug. 12.
Senior Carson Gonzalez added 110 rushing yards and one touchdown on 10 carries to go with four receptions for 42 yards.
24. Archbishop Moeller High School (Cincinnati, Ohio)

Record: 10-1
Last game: Defeated Hamilton 39-14
Next game: Nov. 4 vs. St. Xavier (5-6)
Bottom line: Archbishop Moeller's offense came to life after a scoreless first quarter, rolling to a 27-0 halftime lead on the way to a 39-14 win over Hamilton in the first round of the Ohio Division I state playoffs. Moeller, playing out of Region 4, returns to action on Friday against St. Xavier.
23. American Heritage High School (Plantation, Florida)

Record: 9-1
Last game: Defeated Hallandale 63-0
Next game: TBD
Bottom line: American Heritage became the first team to make a return to the top 25 rankings this season after falling out at one point, hopping back in after a shutout win over Hallandale.
Seven different players scored touchdowns for American Heritage, which has already clinched the district championship and a playoff spot.
Senior wide receiver and Ohio State commit Brandon Inniss led American Heritage with 82 receiving yards and two touchdowns on four receptions.
22. Long Beach Poly High School (Long Beach, California)

Record: 10-0
Last game: Defeated Jordan 63-0
Next game: Nov. 11 at Los Alamitos (8-2)
Bottom line: Long Beach Poly completed the regular season with a 10-0 record for its first unbeaten regular season since 2008. The Jackrabbits also tied the Moore League record set by Millikan High in 1973 for fewest points allowed in a regular season. After a 63-0 win over Jordan, Long Beach Poly has given up just 70 points this season.
Poly forced three turnovers and gave up less than 30 yards of total offense against Jordan. It was the fifth consecutive shutout for Poly's defense.
Long Beach Poly opens play in the CIF Southern Section Division I playoffs on Nov. 11 against Los Alamitos. The bracket features four Stadium Talk Top 25 teams with No. 1 Mater Dei, No. 6 St. John Bosco, No. 19 Centennial and No. 22 Long Beach Poly.
21. Belleville High School (Belleville, Michigan)
Previous ranking: 23
Record: 10-0
Last game: Defeated Woodhaven 48-0
Next game: Nov. 4 vs. Saline (8-2)
Bottom line: Belleville opened the Michigan Division I state playoffs with a 48-0 win over Woodhaven.
It was the third shutout of the season for Belleville, which is trying to win its second consecutive state championship.
20. Grayson High School (Loganville, Georgia)
Previous ranking: 22
Record: 8-1
Last game: Defeated Archer 41-0
Next game: Nov. 4 vs. Parkview (6-3)
Bottom line: Sophomore Amari Alston had 121 rushing yards on just nine carries for Grayson in a 41-0 win over Archer. It was the second shutout of the season for Grayson and first since a 28-0 win over Fort Dorchester (South Carolina) on Sept. 3.
Senior quarterback Jeff Davis was an efficient 11-of-14 passing for 160 yards, one touchdown and one interception.
19. Bixby High School (Bixby, Oklahoma)
Previous ranking: 21
Record: 9-0
Last game: Defeated Moore 64-7
Next game: Nov. 3 vs. Jenks (7-2)
Bottom line: Bixby senior defensive back Cale Fugate had a game for the ages with four interceptions and four touchdowns in a blowout win over Fugate. He returned two of the interceptions for touchdowns and also had three receptions for 53 yards and two touchdowns.
Fugate, who is 5-foot-11 and 185 pounds, also led Bixby's defense with 12 tackles, and all four of his interceptions were in the first half. Senior Luke Hasz also had a big game with 125 receiving yards and one touchdown on three receptions as Bixby scored over 60 points for the seventh game in a row.
Bixby closes out the regular season this week against longtime rival Jenks.
18. Centennial High School (Corona, California)

Record: 9-1
Last game: Defeated Norco 42-0
Next game: Nov. 11 vs. Mission Viejo (9-1)
Bottom line: Centennial closed out its regular season with a shutout win over Norco — the third shutout of the season for the Huskies, who have allowed just 14 points over their last three games. Senior wide receiver Malachi Riley led Centennial with 82 receiving yards and two touchdowns on three receptions.
Centennial opens play in the CIF Southern Section Division I playoffs on Nov. 11 against Mission Viejo after both teams received first-round byes. The bracket features four Stadium Talk Top 25 teams with No. 1 Mater Dei, No. 6 St. John Bosco, No. 19 Centennial and No. 22 Long Beach Poly.
17. St. Joseph's Prep (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania)
Previous ranking: 18
Record: 7-1
Last game: Defeated Roman Catholic 42-0
Next game: Nov. 12 vs. La Salle College (4-5)
Bottom line: St. Joseph's Prep closed out the regular season with a shutout win over Roman Catholic to clinch the Philadelphia Catholic League championship.
Senior linebacker and West Virginia commit Josiah Trotter led the way for the Hawks, kicking off the scoring with a 16-yard interception return for a touchdown less than one minute into the third quarter. It was the first shutout of the season for St. Joseph's, which held Roman Catholic to just 72 yards of total offense.
St. Joseph's has a bye week before it returns to action on Nov. 12 against La Salle College.
16. St. Edward High School (Lakewood, Ohio)
Previous ranking: 17
Record: 10-1
Last game: Defeated Stow-Munroe Falls 49-6
Next game: Nov. 4 vs. Jackson (7-5)
Bottom line: St. Edward opened up its pursuit of a second consecutive Ohio Division 1 state championship with a blowout win over Stow-Munroe Falls in its playoff opener. It was also the 175th career win for St. Edward coach Tom Lombardo.
Marvin Bell led the way for St. Edward with three rushing touchdowns, while Josh Groudle and Jacob Robinson added two rushing touchdowns each for the Eagles.
St. Edward returns to action on Friday against Massillon Jackson in the regional quarterfinals.
15. Katy High School (Katy, Texas)
Previous ranking: 16
Record: 9-0
Last game: Defeated Seven Lakes 59-0
Next game: Nov. 4 vs. Katy Taylor (3-6)
Bottom line: Katy kept doing what it does best in a blowout win over Seven Lakes — running the ball.
Katy racked up a staggering 356 rushing yards in the 59-0 win, including 131 rushing yards and three touchdowns on just eight carries from senior Seth Davis and 103 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries from senior Dallas Glass.
It was the second shutout in three weeks for Katy's defense, which closes out the regular season on Friday against Katy Taylor.
14. IMG Academy (Bradenton, Florida)
Previous ranking: 15
Record: 6-1
Last game: Defeated Middletown (Del.) 58-0
Next game: Nov. 4 vs. West Toronto Prep (0-5)
Bottom line: IMG Academy senior wide receiver and Ohio State commit Carnell Tate had two touchdowns in a blowout win over Middletown (Del.) as the Ascenders improved to 6-1. Tate finished with 64 receiving yards on three receptions.
IMG hosts West Toronto Prep on Friday then has two weeks off before traveling to Baltimore for its regular-season finale against No. 4 St. Frances Academy in one of the most anticipated high school football games of the season.
13. Bishop Gorman High School (Las Vegas, Nevada)
Previous ranking: 14
Record: 10-1
Last game: Defeated Faith Lutheran 72-0
Next game: Nov. 4 vs. Desert Pines (8-2)
Bottom line: Bishop Gorman opened the Class 5A state playoffs with a 72-0 win over Faith Lutheran. The Gaels are trying to win their 12th state championship in 13 seasons. Bishop Gorman has now outscored its six in-state opponents 407-0.
Bishop Gorman tight end Elija Lofton had two receptions for 112 yards and one touchdown — one of five Gaels to catch touchdown passes. Bishop Gorman will now face Desert Pines in the regional semifinals.
12. Guyer High School (Denton, Texas)
Previous ranking: 12
Record: 9-0
Last game: Defeated McKinney 42-21
Next game: Nov. 3 vs. Rock Hill (3-6)
Bottom line: Denton Guyer senior quarterback and Oklahoma commit Jackson Arnold continued to show why he's one of the best in the nation at his position, going 18-of-24 passing for 324 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions and rushing for another touchdown in a 42-21 win over McKinney.
Senior wide receiver Landon Sides was Arnold's favorite target with five receptions for 183 yards and two touchdowns.
Guyer improved to 9-0 with the win and will close out the regular season on Thursday against Rock Hill.
11. Lipscomb Academy (Nashville, Tennessee)
Previous ranking: 13
Record: 10-0
Last game: Defeated Battle Ground Academy 70-0
Next game: Nov. 11 vs. Evangelical Christian-Silverdale winner
Bottom line: Lipscomb Academy's defense posted its fourth shutout of the regular season and closed out an undefeated regular season with a 70-0 win over Battle Ground Academy. It was the first perfect regular season for Lipscomb since 1994.
Lipscomb senior quarterback and Liberty commit Hank Brown went 13-of-17 passing for 255 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions. Junior Sherrill led Lipscomb with four receptions for 90 yards and two touchdowns.
Lipscomb has a first-round bye in the Tennessee Division II Class AA state playoffs and will face the winner of this Friday's game between Evangelical Christian and Silverdale on Nov. 11.
10. Chaminade-Madonna High School (Hollywood, Florida)
Previous ranking: 11
Record: 8-0
Last game: Defeated St. John Paul II Academy 63-0
Next game: Nov. 3 vs. Treasure Coast (3-5)
Bottom line: Chaminade-Madonna's defense forced four turnovers and scored two touchdowns on a fumble return and an interception return in a shutout win over St. John Paul II Academy.
Chaminade-Madonna also scored on special teams on a punt return by Edwin Joseph. The win clinched a district title and playoff berth for the Lions, who also saw quarterback Cedrick Bailey throw for three touchdowns.
9. Duncanville High School (Duncanville, Texas)
Previous ranking: 10
Record: 8-0
Last game: Defeated DeSoto 41-17
Next game: Nov. 3 at Mansfield Legacy (3-6)
Bottom line: Duncanville posted arguably the most impressive win of the week in the top 25 by virtue of a 41-17 blowout win over DeSoto, which entered the game on a six-game winning streak.
No one was better for Duncanville than junior running back Caden Durham, who had 309 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 19 carries.
8. Buford High School (Buford, Georgia)
Previous ranking: 8
Record: 9-0
Last game: Defeated Mountain View 56-7
Next game: Nov. 4 at Central Gwinnett (5-4)
Bottom line: Buford running back and Alabama commit Justice Haynes had 161 rushing yards and two touchdowns on six carries — including an 85-yard touchdown run in the second quarter — as the Wolves improved to 9-0 and clinched the District 8-Class 7A championship.
Buford is trying to win a fourth consecutive state championship and playing in Class 7A for the first time this season.
7. St. Thomas Aquinas High School (Fort Lauderdale, Florida)

Record: 9-0
Last game: Defeated Boyd Anderson 44-0
Next game: Nov. 11 TBD
Bottom line: St. Thomas Aquinas clinched the district championship with a 44-9 win over Boyd Anderson.
Playing Class 3M, Region 3, St. Thomas Aquinas has the top seed and is currently projected to open the postseason on Nov. 11 against either Fort Lauderdale or Piper, who are both still in the hunt for the No. 8 seed.
6. North Shore High School (Houston, Texas)
Previous ranking: 5
Record: 9-0
Last game: Defeated Atascocita 16-13
Next game: Nov. 4 vs. Kingwood (5-4)
Bottom line: North Shore rallied for a 16-13 win over Atascocita to win its 22nd consecutive game thanks to a pair of big plays from wide receiver-turned-quarterback David Amador.
Amador's 36-yard touchdown run in the third quarter cut Atascocita's lead to 13-9 and a 63-yard touchdown pass from Amador to Terrence Guillory with six minutes left in the fourth quarter proved to be the game winner.
Amador, a Texas-San Antonio commit, has been playing quarterback since sophomore Kaleb Bailey was hurt in a win over Houston King on Sept. 29.
5. St. John Bosco High School (Bellflower, California)
Previous ranking: 6
Record: 9-1
Last game: Defeated Santa Margarita 56-14
Next game: Nov. 11 vs. Edison-Orange Lutheran winner
Bottom line: St. John Bosco junior running back Cameron Jones rushed for 110 yards and three touchdowns in a blowout win over Santa Margarita as the Braves closed out the regular season. Jones is a load for a high school running back at 6-foot-2 and 232 pounds. He currently has offers from Louisville, UNLV and Maryland.
St. John Bosco will have a bye this week before it opens play in the CIF Southern Section Division I playoffs on Nov. 11 against the winner of the Edison-Orange Lutheran game on Nov. 4. 4. St. Frances Academy (Baltimore, Maryland)

Record: 6-0
Last game: Defeated Arundel 50-0
Next game: Nov. 4 at St. Thomas More (Ct.)
Bottom line: St. Frances Academy played its first game in a month and didn't show many signs of rust, crushing Arundel (Maryland) 50-0. It was also the sixth road game in a row for the Panthers to start the season.
St. Frances quarterback Michael Van Buren threw three touchdown passes to Ryan Manning in the first half. The Panthers scored two touchdowns on special teams on a 73-yard punt return by Kyree Benton and a 30-yard blocked punt return by Mekhi Butler.
St. Frances plays one more game on the road this week at St. Thomas More (Connecticut) before playing its final two games at home, including the regular-season finale against No. 14 IMG Academy on Nov. 18.
3. Miami Central High School (Miami, Florida)
Previous ranking: 3
Record: 9-0
Last game: Defeated Monsignor Pace 50-14
Next game: Nov. 11 vs. St. Brendan (7-2)
Bottom line: Miami Central improved to 9-0 with a blowout win over Monsignor Pace. The Rockets are trying to win a fourth consecutive state championship.
Miami Central plays in Class 2M and are the No. 1 seed in Region 4, where they'll open postseason play against St. Brendan with a home game on Nov. 11.
2. Westlake High School (Austin, Texas)
Previous ranking: 2
Record: 9-0
Last game: Defeated Bowie 45-0
Next game: Nov. 4 vs. Johnson (4-5)
Bottom line: Westlake junior quarterback Paxton Land had his best statistical game of the season, going 22-of-30 passing for 322 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions in a blowout win over Bowie that extended the school's winning streak to 49 games.
Westlake had two players with over 100 receiving yards. Notre Dame commit Jaden Greathouse had eight receptions for 115 yards and two touchdowns while Kansas commit Keaton Kubecka had nine receptions for 151 yards and two touchdowns.
1. Mater Dei High School (Santa Ana, California)

Record: 10-0
Last game: Defeated Servite 48-17
Next game: Nov. 11 vs. Santa Margarita-JSerra Catholic winner
Bottom line: Mater Dei head coach Bruce Rollinson broke the Orange County record with his 339th career victory as the Monarchs closed out the regular season with a 10-0 record. Mater Dei quarterback Elijah Brown had four touchdown passes in the win.
Mater Dei will have a bye this week before it opens play in the CIF Southern Section Division I playoffs on Nov. 11 against the Santa Margarita-JSerra Catholic winner.
