The final weeks of the regular season came to a close with a few upsets in the latest Stadium Talk Top 25 High School Football Rankings. Several teams also opened the postseason in their respective states with wins.
Two teams fell out of the poll for the first time this season after upset losses, with No. 9 Chandler High School (Chandler, Arizona) dropping out after a 14-7 loss to Basha High School (Chandler, Arizona) and No. 20 Cherry Creek High School (Greenwood Village, Colorado) out of the rankings after a 24-21 loss to Grandview High School (Aurora, Colorado).
Mater Dei High School (Santa Ana, California) remained at No. 1 in the poll for the 10th consecutive week after closing out the season with a blowout win over Servite High School (Anaheim, California). Chaminade-Madonna High School (Hollywood, Florida) entered the top 10 for the first time this season.
American Heritage High School (Plantation, Florida) returned to the rankings at No. 23 and No. 25 Lehi High School (Lehi, Utah) entered the poll for the first time this season.
Twelve different states are represented in this poll, led by Texas and Florida with five teams each and California with four teams.

25. Lehi High School (Lehi, Utah)

Record: 11-0
Last game: Defeated Park City 40-6
Next game: Nov. 4 at Box Elder (9-3)
Bottom line: Lehi makes its debut in the Stadium Talk Top 25 High School Football Rankings following a 40-6 win over Park City in the second round of the Class 5A state playoffs. Lehi, which had a bye in the first round, is trying to win its second consecutive state championship and third state title in six seasons.
Lehi senior quarterback and Colorado State commit Jackson Brousseau was 23-of-35 passing for 319 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions in the win over Park City for his first 300-yard passing game since the season opener against Davis on Aug. 12.
Senior Carson Gonzalez added 110 rushing yards and one touchdown on 10 carries to go with four receptions for 42 yards.
22. Long Beach Poly High School (Long Beach, California)

Record: 10-0
Last game: Defeated Jordan 63-0
Next game: Nov. 11 at Los Alamitos (8-2)
Bottom line: Long Beach Poly completed the regular season with a 10-0 record for its first unbeaten regular season since 2008. The Jackrabbits also tied the Moore League record set by Millikan High in 1973 for fewest points allowed in a regular season. After a 63-0 win over Jordan, Long Beach Poly has given up just 70 points this season.
Poly forced three turnovers and gave up less than 30 yards of total offense against Jordan. It was the fifth consecutive shutout for Poly’s defense.
Long Beach Poly opens play in the CIF Southern Section Division I playoffs on Nov. 11 against Los Alamitos. The bracket features four Stadium Talk Top 25 teams with No. 1 Mater Dei, No. 6 St. John Bosco, No. 19 Centennial and No. 22 Long Beach Poly.
5. St. John Bosco High School (Bellflower, California)

Record: 9-1
Last game: Defeated Santa Margarita 56-14
Next game: Nov. 11 vs. Edison-Orange Lutheran winner
Bottom line: St. John Bosco junior running back Cameron Jones rushed for 110 yards and three touchdowns in a blowout win over Santa Margarita as the Braves closed out the regular season. Jones is a load for a high school running back at 6-foot-2 and 232 pounds. He currently has offers from Louisville, UNLV and Maryland.
St. John Bosco will have a bye this week before it opens play in the CIF Southern Section Division I playoffs on Nov. 11 against the winner of the Edison-Orange Lutheran game on Nov. 4.
