When Formula 1 drivers step away from the circuit, many continue chasing speed and engineering excellence on the water. Superyachts have become a favored outlet since they offer technology, comfort, and status in equal measure.
Here’s how current and former F1 figures have invested in yachts that suit their personalities and priorities.
Faith – Lawrence Stroll

Faith, a 262-foot Feadship worth about $200 million, joined Lawrence Stroll’s collection in March 2025. It took the place of a 317-foot Feadship, also called Faith, which he sold to Michael Latifi, father of former F1 driver Nicholas Latifi. Even with a reduction in length, the new Faith still carries a gross tonnage of 2,500.
Unleash The Lion – Max Verstappen

The Mangusta GranSport 33, purchased in 2025 for $15 million, serves as Max Verstappen’s base in the Mediterranean between races. The 108-foot yacht was crafted by Alberto Mancini and reaches 26 knots with Volvo IPS1350 engines. Its multiple decks and open-air lounges encourage time outdoors, while refined interiors provide overnight comfort.
Sunseeker 90 – Lewis Hamilton

The Sunseeker 90 reaches 30 knots while offering stable, smooth cruising. The 90-foot yacht features walnut interiors, four guest cabins, and an eight-seat dining area for extended stays. Lewis Hamilton has kept it in Monaco’s Port Hercule since 2009 and uses it for coastal trips.
Sunreef Power Eco 60 – Fernando Alonso

The Sunreef Power Eco 60, delivered in 2023 at a cost of about $4.5 million, was built with efficiency as a priority. On more than one occasion, Alonso has described it as a floating villa, as he uses it for longer trips that align with his focus on sustainable living and reduced environmental impact in personal travel.
Blush – Eddie Jordan

At its 2014 launch, Blush, at 155 feet, became Sunseeker’s largest build. Eddie Jordan paid $42 million for it and equipped it with a nightclub and expansive deck areas. He eventually sold it and returned to sailing with a Perini Navi yacht, also named Blush.
J Craft Torpedo R – Jenson Button

Participation in the Riviera Runabout put Jenson Button at the helm of a 42-foot J Craft Torpedo R. The Swedish-built powerboat contains a cabin for day cruising and high-quality fittings throughout. Button’s interest in this model comes from its responsiveness, which gives a more direct connection to the water than larger yachts.
Oyster 885 – Adrian Newey

Design involvement was key when Adrian Newey commissioned his 90-foot Oyster 885, delivered in 2024. The yacht provides panoramic windows, a solar-covered bimini, and a fold-out swim platform. Newey also applied his technical expertise to the vessel to ensure it met his standards for efficiency, handling, and onboard layout.
Anaconda S – Eddie Irvine

Aluminum construction and a top speed of 30 knots define the 64-foot Anaconda S. Eddie Irvine’s yacht has multiple guest cabins, a saloon, and spacious outdoor areas for entertaining. Let’s not forget that its American-inspired interiors set it apart visually. Regularly spotted in Monaco, the vessel supports both private cruising and hosting duties.
Coral Ocean – Lando Norris

Hosting duties during the 2025 Monaco Grand Prix took place aboard Coral Ocean, a 238-foot Lürssen yacht tied to Lando Norris. A refit in 2022 updated the original 1994 build with hidden balconies, wellness spaces, and expanded lounges. The yacht acted as a McLaren hospitality base for sponsors and guests.
Monza – Charles Leclerc

Named after the Italian circuit where Charles Leclerc won in 2019, the Riva 48 Dolceriva Monza arrived in 2020 with a $2 million price tag. Officina Italiana Design created the interior and combined cream upholstery with natural wood. Often seen along the Monaco coast, Monza functions as a fast and stylish day cruiser.
Oyster 885 Lush – Eddie Jordan

Now in the hands of Richard Hadida, Lush was originally commissioned by Eddie Jordan as the first hull of the Oyster 885 series. He sailed it in the inaugural Oyster World Rally, which covered thousands of miles in varying conditions. The yacht’s performance rigging worked alongside comfortable accommodations to make long passages enjoyable.
UU – Toto Wolff

Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff has owned and chartered several yachts, such as a 50-metre Mangusta valued at about $27 million. It accommodates 12 guests and nine crew, reaching 35 knots. In 2024, he told Boat International he was seeking a new vessel with modern emissions technology and a helicopter garage to preserve exterior lines.
